Providing a safe workplace for your employees, customers and visitors is a legal requirement, so it is you duty to make sure the property you own or occupy is safe, for more information see > Why Do You Need An Asbestos Report/Survey?
There are two types of asbestos survey they are Refurbishment & Demolition Surveys and Asbestos Management Survey for more information also see > What Is An Asbestos Survey?
In order to minimise the risk of exposing yourself or others to asbestos, it is vital that a refurbishment and demolition survey is completed before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out. For more information see > Refurbishment & Demolition Surveys
Asbestos management Surveys give all the required information you need regarding the presence of ACMs (asbestos containing materials) in your premises. Our surveys will give you all the information required to make an informed decision whether any ACM’s need to be simply contained or removed. For more information see > Asbestos Management Surveys
Yes we carry out domestic surveys all over the UK. Asbestos can be found in any residential or industrial building built or refurbished before the year 2000, so if you’re moving home or planning home improvements, give us a call and we’ll arrange for one of our expert surveyors to thoroughly check the safety of your home and advise on any steps you need to take to stay protected.
Samples of suspect materials are obtained for confirmation and assessments are made usually along with management suggestions and recommendations.
The survey will involve a thorough inspection of your premises to identify the location of any asbestos-containing materials in the building, the type of asbestos they contain and the condition these materials are in. Samples of suspect materials will be obtained for analysis. Within 5 working days of your survey, our surveyor will produce your unique easy to read report which details all the findings and our recommendations. You will also get free access to our easy-to-use online portal which gives you instant access to all your records and reports.
For a typical 2-3 bedroom house our fee would be £275 plus vat.
The current regulations (CAR2012 http://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos/regulations.htm ) do not place any legal obligations on domestic home owners with regard to how asbestos is handled on your own property but it is worth finding out if your property contains asbestos and how best to maintain it in good condition. The most common of asbestos containing materials, can be sorted out quickly and easily with simple management solutions and encapsulation to maintain them in good condition. This will ensure that you do not expose yourself or your family to any health risks or face potential complications when selling your property.
If you hire any person to undertake work on ACM’s you should make them aware of any known asbestos and ensure that they are suitably trained, licensed & insured to work with the type of asbestos that you have.
We are based in Blackpool and also have branches in Preston & Salford in Manchester.
We cover the whole of the UK
