In this survey we were tasked to perform and asbestos survey in a church boiler room in Chiltheroe Lancashire. Usually the main places we look for ACM’s (Asbestos Containing Materials) is pipe lagging insulation and cement board products.
In this case we found material we believed to be asbestos contains in the pipe lagging. Pipe lagging is a common material we check and also one of the worst types of material that can easily disperse asbestos fibres into the air.
Onece we identify a potential asbestos containing material we take samples and send off to a certified laboratory for confirmation of asbestos fibres. Our asbestos survey reports go into details of asbestos materials found and we also offer advise on removal or how to make the materials safe and how to manage them.
