Here we were requested to carry out a Refurbishment/Demolition Survey in Preston, Lancashire in accordance with HSG264 and HSG227.
The site was carefully inspected by a qualified surveyor with samples of suspect materials collected as deemed necessary. One of our Asbestos Management surveyors carried out the requested Survey to determine whether asbestos or asbestos containing materials (ACMs) were contained within the building.
Upon completion of the survey and analysis of the sample the survey revealed the presence of ACMs in 1 location

During this asbestos survey in Preston Lancashire, we did not find any category A, B or C Materials but we did find category D asbestos containing materials in the Bakelite toilet cistern & cement boded panels. Once we identified the potential asbestos containing material we took samples of the materials and then sent them off to a certified laboratory for confirmation of asbestos fibres. after conducting the survey in Preston Lancashire we recommended to us a competent asbestos contractor to remove the asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) prior to refurbishment or demolition.
